Introduction
The course is designed for 16 weeks
(three days a week for 48 hours)
The course is divided into four components, which are labeled "Platforms
  • Platform 1 Scoring with Sibelius (4 weeks 3 hours = 12 hours per month)
  • Platform 2 Arrangement with Logic Pro X (4 weeks 3 hours = 12 hours per month)
  • Platform 3 Mixing and Mastering (4 weeks 3 hours = 12 hours per month)
  • Platform 4 Promotion (4 weeks 3 hours = 12 hours per month)
If you ever want a famous record label or movie studio to rent your music, you need to have a quality product that shows what potential your composition has and that you are a competitive unit in the music industry.

This course is designed for music writers interested in producing and creating high-quality recordings with modern software. The course serves as a springboard for the aspiring writer/producer to have the skills to create, produce, record, and mix music on a professional level. 
The curriculum begins with learning about software and bringing your musical ideas to life. You will learn:
  • techniques for writing musical scores for ensembles and orchestras in Sibelius
  • Drum programming, synthesis, sampling, guitar and vocal recording techniques, EQ, compression, reverb, and other effects in Logic Pro X
  • mixing and mastering with Logic Pro X
  • release design and artwork using Photoshop
  • production of promo videos and music videos with Final Cut
  • digital product placement worldwide
  • promotion of musical products on digital platforms all over the world
Sounds ambitious, doesn't it? But that's what I've been doing for the last 15 years and I'm ready to share my experience with those who want to dive into the interesting world of the music and film industry.
Projects are hands-on and involve recording other instrumentalists/vocalists.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
  • Analyze works and apply active listening to them
  • Identify different genres for stylistic study
  • Identify and use synthesis techniques and develop electronic patches
  • apply realistic drum programming and electronic textures
  • apply sampling and create realistic-sounding instruments using a computer
  • apply methods for recording solo parts
  • determine the basics of EQ for mixing
  • apply basic compression to mixing and effects
  • apply the basics of mastering to make mixes louder for radio and louder for television.
At the end of the course you will receive a certificate of international standard, the recommendation of the subsequent process of training in the master's program, and the best thesis will be presented on international platforms in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
And remember: everyone is able to come up with something new, but not everyone can convey their idea in an accessible and high-quality format.

Creating a score with Sibelius
  • Introduction to Sibelius
  • Overview of the interface, creating templates and score types.
  • Terminology and score recording procedures.
  • Listening to references and applying them to your own work.
  • Finding your own melody and arranging it.
  • Reviewing the operations of scoring material and adapting it for the next stage of creation.
Platform 2
Arranged with Logic Pro X
  • Introduction to Logic Pro X.
  • PEW terminology.
  • An overview of the Logic Pro X interface.
  • Overview of operations with tempo, markers, and recording.
  • Importing and adapting music material from a finished MIDI project.
  • Introduction and selection of samplers (Kontakt, Drumkit Designer, Drum Machine Designer).
  • MIDI Quantization.
  • Preparation of the master for mixing.
  • Course review and self-assessment.
Platform 3
Mixing and Mastering
  • Introduction to the information course.
  • Choosing the perfect room: Types of reverbs and their settings.
  • Importing tracks and creating groups, submixes for joint processing of similar instruments.
  • Vocal Recording Setup.
  • Compilation of vocal takes.
  • Preparing a project for the recording of instruments.
  • Creating the right balance with volume and panning.
  • Adjusting the frequencies for a perfect mix: EQ basics (Channel EQ).
  • Targeting and eliminating problematic frequencies: Peak and Sweep EQ.
  • Adding Brightness and Eliminating Boom: Filters and Band EQ.
  • Types of atmospheric creation techniques.
  • Plugin Automation.
  • Making room for percussion with sidechain.
  • Creating more realism with advanced quantization.
  • Oscillators, filters, envelopes, and LFOs.
  • Strengthening the arrangement with overdubbing and balance synthesizer techniques.
  • Acoustic guitar recording techniques.
  • Electric guitar recording techniques.
  • Using limiters to prepare songs for radio airplay
